The Inn at English Harbour Description

The Inn at English Harbour, a colonial gem on Antigua's south-western coast, blends historic charm with up-to-the-minute services and amenities. And the beach ain't bad either.

For all their natural beauty, their white-sand beaches and their turquoise waters, most tropical resorts lack a certain grandeur. The problem, one quickly notices, is chiefly architectural. Not here. The Inn at English Harbour retains the colonial might that was the purpose of its original construction, without sacrificing the convenience of distinctly modern amenities.

Colonial-style cabanas and two-story villas house 28 regally appointed guestrooms across 19 acres of wooded headland near the entrance to English Harbour. Rooms feature marble or mahogany floors, canopy beds, spacious modern bathrooms and verandahs or balconies. Each has been recently upgraded with flat-screen televisions, iPod docking stations, air conditioning, and wifi internet access.

Popular activities include onsite tennis and nearby golf, along with the full range of water sports - kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, waterskiing, sailing and more. Additional amenities include an intimate spa, an infinity-edge pool, a library/tea room, an upscale boutique, and a private white-sand beach.

The fine dining Terrace Restaurant with wine cellar and the Stone Bar reside in The Inn’s original stone house amid landscaped gardens, while the casual Hanis Bistro is set beachfront near the resort’s private pier.

Two minutes by water taxi resides the nightlife of English Harbour. St. John's is approximately 18 km away and the international airport 20 km.
