La Villa de Mazamet Description
The beautiful Villa de Mazamet dates from 1934 and is set within a landscaped garden in the market town of Mazamet with views of the Montagne Noire mountain range. It is perfectly situated to explore the surroundings and the cities of Carcassonne, Albi and Castres. Its current owners painstakingly restored the building between 2005 and 2009, which is now a luxurious "chambre d'hôtes" with a restaurant.
The sumptuous rooms feature oak parquet flooring, antique furniture and period features like corniches, marble fireplaces, wooden shutters, stucco ceilings and art-deco bathrooms. Modern facilities include top quality beds and linens, an iPod docking station, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, coffee/tea making facilities and Nespresso machines. Bathrooms have a rainshower and/or tub, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries by L'Occitane.
Breakfast is served daily and includes a selection of freshly baked pastries, juices, cereals, fruits and ham & cheese. A four-course set meal prepared with products from the local markets or the garden can be enjoyed in the evening.
The Villa offers two lounges for reading and games. You will also find a DVD library with over 150 titles. In the basement you will find a small spa with a sauna, jacuzzi and a range of massages.
